We are seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals to join our organisation as a Person in Charge.
The successful candidate will receive all necessary training and development for the role. Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for engaging with people who use our service daily.
Job Objectives
Our organisation requires an experienced candidate with strong organisational and management skills or someone who wishes to progress in their careers in a progressive Organisation.
The Person in Charge will support the delivery of duties within the Centre daily, ensuring Personal Plans, Risk Assessments, and Behavioural Support Plans are up-to-date.
This includes:
* Ensuring services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
* Providing the highest quality of care and support to individuals who use this service.
* Meeting regulation compliance in accordance with Health ACT 2007 (Care and support of residents in designated centres for persons (Children and Adults; with disabilities) Regulations 2013.
* Managing the staff team to provide support to individuals who use this service.
* Coordinating input required from other individuals, such as members of the Clinical Team and other departmental supports.
* Providing mentorship and leadership to the team.
* Overseeing the service across shifts to ensure effective and efficient services are delivered.
* Maintaining the highest level of infection control standards.
* Being an active leader and role model of the team.
* Contributing to and maintaining an effective team.
* Organising and participating in meetings, reviews, and committees as required.
Skills Requirement
Qualification: Level 7/8 Degree in a Health or Social related qualification or suitable equivalent qualification with management qualification in healthcare.
Full Clean Driver's license.
Knowledge: Minimum 3 years managerial experience within a similar health or social care setting.
Skills: Strong leadership skills, problem-solving skills, judgement making critical decisions and recommendations, flexible team working, good listener, open to learning from others, excellent organisational skills, self-motivation, self-starter, excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills, dedicated, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
