About the Role
The Director of Nursing is a pivotal member of our healthcare organization's leadership team. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for providing strategic, professional, and clinical leadership to our nursing multidisciplinary team.
This role requires an individual with strong collaborative skills, who can engage with colleagues across the organization in delivering safe, high-quality patient-centered services and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing Services:
1. Develop and implement effective nursing service strategies that align with our organization's goals, ensuring efficient delivery and high-quality standards.
2. Collaborate with our quality team to promote ongoing quality improvement and compliance with accreditation standards.
3. Work closely with our Leadership Team to develop and implement business continuity and emergency plans.
4. Lead on transformational change to enable the effective delivery of our hospital strategy.
5. Proactively engage clinicians in the evolution and development of clinical services to provide best patient outcomes.
Leadership and Development:
* Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
* Collaborate with executive colleagues on succession planning and talent management strategies within nursing and other areas as required.
* Promote an environment that fosters best practice, enhances staff retention, and promotes open communication and engagement.
* Ensure service delivery models meet international best practices, are commercially viable, efficient, and satisfactory to patients and service users.
Qualifications and Experience
* Be registered in the general division of the register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.
* Educated to Masters Level in either Healthcare/Business or related qualification would be desirable.
* Have at least five years' experience working in a senior management position in a similar environment.
* Extensive experience of leading successful change in a patient-centered care delivery environment.
* Demonstrate an understanding of financial management and control.
* Extensive knowledge of organizational management and development.
* Demonstrate a track record of positive team engagement.
