Job Summary:
* Collaborate with site maintenance teams to execute a comprehensive site maintenance program ensuring compliant, reliable and efficient operation of all plant and equipment.
* Support the reliability engineer in implementing reliability centered maintenance initiatives.
* Develop and lead root cause failure analysis programs to reduce equipment breakdowns and assist maintenance personnel in conducting real-time root cause analysis.
* Work with the reliability engineer and planners to establish and utilize reliability and work planning metrics/kpi's to monitor improvement and resource optimization e.g. pm/cm ratio, schedule adherence etc.
* Conduct daily startup checks on machinery throughout the plant.
* Ensure swift and safe resolution of all breakdowns at all times.
* Maintain efficient, safe and hygienic standards for servicing and maintenance across the site.
Responsibilities:
* Facilitate smooth factory operations.
* Ensure timely repairs, servicing and maintenance of machinery.
* Carry out refrigeration, plumbing and other breakdowns in a safe and tidy manner.
* Implement and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules.
* Maintain accurate records.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Refrigeration experience is an asset but not essential.
* Ensure staff comply with company health and safety policies.

Requirements:
* Completion of a 4-year approved technical training program in mechanical or electrical repair and maintenance and 2 years' electrical/mechanical experience; Or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved including third and fourth year apprentices.
* Leaving certificate, school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to take direction.
* Able to work effectively in a team.
* Ability to challenge others professionally and constructively.
* Knowledge and experience working in food manufacturing environment an asset but not essential.
