Main Purpose of the Role:
Our Fresh Food Departments at Supervalu must operate efficiently and effectively to provide excellent customer service and a superior fresh food offering at all times.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* 2 years' experience in a Fresh Food Department is highly desirable.
* 1 year's experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is highly desirable.
* An understanding of how to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets.
* A passion for providing exceptional fresh food offerings.
Main Duties:
* Lives the Supervalu brand-values, Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative.
* Ensures the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritizing and delegating tasks appropriately.
* Sets, monitors and achieves sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs agreed with Store Manager.
* Manages stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget.
* Fosters good working relationships among team members.
* Holds regular fresh food meetings to communicate relevant details and results to the team.
* Manages employee performance, providing regular feedback, recognition and encouragement.
* Handles all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistently with store policy.
* Manages employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments.
* Maintains the highest standard of merchandising and presentation in the fresh department at all times, adhering to relevant store planograms and guidelines.
