Purpose of the role: Lead and co-ordinate all activities required to achieve the business plan requirements for the business units in the Value Stream. This includes both operational and development activities. Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited) to the following: Manage all performance related matters so that the team achieves the required standards. Ensure that operators are appropriately trained to deliver optimal flexibility. Ensure that the team is motivated and equipped to meet all standards as set out. Communicate with employees so that they are informed and engaged with the company. Participate in recruitment and selection activities as required by the company. Provide input in terms of design for manufacture (DFM) and process design and improvement to optimise area performance Liaise with engineering, quality, and other groups to optimise lead times, organise production and workflow for both manufacturing and development opportunities Ensure that operational SOPs are adhered to at all times. Ensure that GMP and Health & Safety standards are maintained and improved if necessary, within the area. Responsible for relevant KPIs for the area & identify where standards are not met and instigate the appropriate corrective actions. Accurate and timely issuing of labour and materials to all Jobs. Stocktaking and control of all materials to improve accuracy and variances. Work with support departments to deliver CIP In line with business needs, seek out and implement continuous improvements which will increase profitability, quality, and safety. Day to day production planning to ensure on time delivery Assist with Contract Review process for new T-Numbers, to ensure that such orders can be processed with optimal efficiency, effectiveness and adherence to customer and quality requirements Work with the relevant departments to deal with customer issues surrounding complaints, queries, credit issues and any other production related topics which customers need assistance with from time to time To build and maintain a high-performance culture and be willing to hold support groups to account for commitments, input and solving problems Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure Quality and EHS policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Education / Experience Requirements Relevant third-level education Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar people management role Experience working with SAP Deep understanding of cost management & profit Transfer to manufacturing experience is considered very valuable Prior experience working on development projects is an advantage Specialized Skills / Other Requirements Planning and Organisation skills - Planning labour, materials, and equipment availability Understanding of employment law, natural justice, and appreciation of fairness Understanding of employee engagement, motivation, and Leadership Basic understanding of process validations/FMEA's and protocols Lean Sigma certification would be an advantage Benefits: Health Insurance Pension Performance Bonus Parking Paid Holidays
