Finance Director / CFO | Established Irish Retail Brand | Midlands
We are delighted to be working exclusively with a long‑established and highly respected Irish retail brand on the appointment of a Finance Director / CFO based in Co. Laois.
This is a senior leadership position with full ownership of the finance function and a central role in commercial and strategic decision‑making at board level. The business operates across multiple locations nationwide with a growing online presence and is going through a period of significant change and growth.
This opportunity is particularly well suited to a strong Financial Controller ready to step up into a number one finance role, or an experienced Finance Director looking for a hands‑on position where they can make a real difference.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, you will take responsibility for:
Commercial finance and business partnering with the leadership team
Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Financial control, treasury, cash management, tax, audit, and compliance
Retail and online trading performance, including margin management and stock
Leading and developing the finance team
What We Are Looking For
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Senior finance leadership experience, ideally in retail, ecommerce, or a comparable multi‑site consumer‑facing environment
A commercially minded finance professional comfortable in both business and financial conversations
Someone who understands what working in a family‑owned business means and sees it as a positive
Based in or commutable to Co. Laois
