Job Title: EHS Advisor
Job Summary:
The EHS Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental standards of construction projects are met and maintained. This position involves working closely with site teams to implement and monitor safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to guarantee adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company management system procedures.
- Develop and update risk assessments and method statements to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Deliver training and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors to promote awareness and best practices.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Ensure that all safety signage, PPE, and emergency procedures are in place and adhered to on-site.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations, risk assessment, and hazard identification.
- Proficiency in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and safety performance data analysis.
- Expertise in management systems, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Effective collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and staff training on EHS practices.
- Adaptability to evolving regulations, project requirements, and proactive improvement initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills, communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety excellence.
