Financial Controller An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strategic and commercially focused Country Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a well-established international organisation.
This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, compliance, reporting, and business partnering across the Irish operations.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Financial Leadership Lead the finance team and contribute to the senior management team.
Drive financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Provide financial leadership in ERP system implementations and digital transformation projects.
Reporting & Compliance Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting (FRS 101, Group Reporting, Management Accounts).
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and international accounting standards.
Manage external audits and ensure timely delivery of unqualified audit reports.
Operational Finance Monitor working capital, FX exposure, and credit control performance.
Implement cost control measures and overhead reduction strategies.
Maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Candidate Profile: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Minimum 7-10 years' experience in senior finance roles, ideally within logistics, freight, or supply chain sectors.
Proven experience in financial leadership, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and strategic planning.
Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Access is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
