About Your Role as an Executive Officer, Policy Analyst


Key Responsibilities:

* Information Collection: Assist in gathering and analyzing information about developments in law, policy, and practice relating to children's rights in Ireland.
* Monitoring and Review: Contribute to monitoring and reviewing national legislation and public policy developments affecting children, including preparing updates.
* Research and Briefing: Conduct research on issues relating to children's rights and prepare briefing notes to inform the Policy team.
* Public Interaction: Handle queries and requests for information from the public and others on matters relating to children's rights.
* International Collaboration: Support engagement with UN and European monitoring mechanisms and contribute to work with European and British networks.
* Team Projects: Assist with joint projects with other teams and manage knowledge and information sharing within the Policy team.

About You


We are Looking For:

* Educational Background: First or second class primary honours degree (Level 8 NFQ) in law, sociology, social policy, or political science.
* Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and experience of children's rights, international and European human rights standards, and national legislation and public policy in Ireland.
* Research Skills: Proven experience in undertaking policy and research projects, sourcing, analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing information from multiple sources.
* Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and strong IT skills.
