Vacancies now exist for Social Care Worker full-time Permanent contracts in Day Services to support individualised services in North and South Dublin. Locations include Swords, Balbriggan, Ballymun, Edenmore, Baldoyle, Finglas, Templeogue, Glasnevin and Goatstown
These positions will provide exciting opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their career by providing personal support services for adults with an intellectual disability.

The successful candidates will assist in supporting individuals to develop and maintain their connections to other people and strengthen links to the local community.
A vacancy exists for a specific purpose contract (Mat Leave) for Social Care leader in Glencree– (On the main campus in Ballymun)
Service users attending are encouraged and supported to gain access to a range of experiences both in-house and in community settings. Person Centred Plans are guided and supported by HIQA regulation and standards. There is as an ASD specific day service that forms part of this residential service. This is a service which strive to deliver high level supports in an ever-changing environment for people presenting with Autism and a moderate to severe level of ID. Applications are invited for this position from suitably qualified candidates. This role requires a strong ability to lead a team and to problem solve and work on own initiative as well as previous experience working with people presenting on the ASD spectrum.
Essential Criteria for Applicants:
* QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) - Open Training College; Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, TUD, DIT or National University of Ireland; A qualification received outside the State recognised by NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award.
* An appropriate management qualification suitable for the post or currently engaged in completing a management qualification.
* Have experience in the area of ASD, complex needs and positive behaviour support.
* Have a minimum of 3 years experience in management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care with responsibility for managing budgets and resources
* Have experience in the area of staff support and supervision, taking the lead in teams, resource management and administration duties.
* Be knowledgeable of HIQA regulations and standards and have engaged previously with HIQA monitoring and registration inspections.
* Have a detailed working knowledge of National Safeguarding Policy
* Be able to work with families and MDT members
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills, be highly motivated and have an interest in leading and managing a staff team.
* Have experience and understanding of Health Act 2007 and Government Policy on Intellectual Disability Services
* Possess a willingness to assist Service-Users with swimming and water therapy.
* Experience of supporting healthy aging for adult service-users.
* Have a proven ability to support people in community integration and active citizenship acknowledging people's social values roles in their community.
* Possess a strong commitment to the provision of a quality individualised person directed service standard.
* Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and open to change.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrates knowledge of the key working model.
* Demonstrates knowledge of a continuous quality system.
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development for self and staff.
* CORU Registration.
* Desirable Criteria:
* Knowledge of "All about me" \ PCP and QQI.
* Full driving licence

Salary Scale – Social Care Leaders: Successful candidates will be paid in line with August 25 HSE revised consolidated Social Care Leaders pay scale point 1; €56,351 – point 7; €65,807 per annum based on working a 39 hour week. Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
