Key Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of approximately 20 staff members, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they meet their full potential.

2. Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the store, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.

3. Develop and implement strategies to drive store sales and meet performance targets, leveraging market trends and customer insights to inform decisions.

4. Oversee stock control, deliveries, and floor merchandising to ensure an attractive and well-stocked store environment that meets customer expectations.

5. Manage store operations, including cash handling, staffing rotas, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

6. Support community engagement through in-store events and local outreach initiatives, fostering strong relationships with local stakeholders and promoting the store as a valued member of the community.

7. Report to Head Office, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and maintaining open communication channels to facilitate feedback and support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* 3+ years of experience in a retail management role, with a proven track record of success and achievement.

* Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their best.

* Customer-focused with strong communication skills, able to build rapport with customers and provide excellent service.

* Well-organised and capable of managing multiple priorities, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Comfortable working with KPIs, rotas, and budgets, with a solid understanding of financial management principles.

* A background or interest in books, gifting, or lifestyle retail is beneficial, but not essential.

* Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
