Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the part-time fixed term position of Research Assistant (0.5 FTE) with the Discipline of Pathology at the University of Galway, Ireland.
The position is available immediately for a 37-month period at 0.5 FTE with Principal Investigator Prof. Sharon Glynn. This position is funded by the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.
The Glynn laboratory is focused on investigating the role of inflammation and aberrant redox regulation in breast and prostate cancer progression and treatment response. As a translational research laboratory, the Glynn lab uses a combination of molecular epidemiology and in vitro cancer model approaches to determine the impact of inflammatory mediators on patient outcomes. The research will be carried out on-site at the University of Galway https://www.universityofgalway.ie/ ; under the supervision of Professor Glynn (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1459-2580)
Salary: Research Assistant salary scale €32,962 - €42,943 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
