Lead Water and Wastewater Treatment Projects
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead water and wastewater treatment projects in West Dublin.

Job Description:
* Salary Range: €60K - €75K DOE (Dependent on Experience)
The successful candidate will have the responsibility of leading and delivering designated elements of WWTP projects, including design and installation of civil, mechanical, electrical and ICA elements. The role will also involve assisting the office-based design team with detailed design of multiple projects, surveying existing infrastructure, and working closely with design engineers to produce technical and commercial proposals.

Your Responsibilities:
1. Leading and taking full responsibility for the delivery of designated elements of WWTP projects, including design and installation of civil, mechanical, electrical and ICA elements.
2. Assisting the office-based design team with detailed design of multiple projects.
3. Surveying existing infrastructure and working closely with design engineers to produce technical and commercial proposals.
4. Overseeing day-to-day project activities, planning for site shutdowns and major tie-in works.
5. Participating in regular client project-related meetings.
6. Issuing RFQs to vendors and subcontractors, making recommendations based on cost-benefit analysis and other measures.
7. Monitoring and controlling site activities related to project installations.
8. Leading the start-up and commissioning of process systems.
9. Supporting the qualification process for upgrades or newly installed treatment systems.
10. Handover of works to internal or external operations personnel.
11. Implementation of health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures to company-defined standards across all contracts.

Requirements:
* A degree in Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* 3+ years of experience in the water and wastewater industry contracting, including site supervision and design.
* Comprehensive knowledge of water and wastewater design and operational processes.
* Contract knowledge (FIDIC, NEC, Public Works) is an advantage.
* A successful track record in the delivery of complex contracts.
* The ability to communicate well with clients, subcontractors, and in-house staff.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and CAD software applications.
