Assistant Manager Job Description
We are currently recruiting for the role of Assistant Manager in our busy Insomnia Department. The purpose of this position is to provide support to the team and ensure colleague compliance with all standards required for successful department operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide assistance to the team and maintain a high level of quality and service delivery
* Ensure consistent compliance with Dress Code, Hygiene/HACCP Standards, Customer Service Standards, Performance Standards, Health & Safety, and Roster Awareness
* Work collaboratively with the manager and team members to achieve department goals
* Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring perfection with every drink made
* Immerse yourself in our love for coffee and make each cup exceptional for customers
Key Performance Indicators
* Excellent communication skills with colleagues, supervisors, and other managers
* Maintenance of highest cleanliness and service standards within Insomnia
* Effective staff roster management
* Wage cost control and margin maintenance as agreed with senior management
* Successful promotion of Insomnia through marketing efforts
* Ensuring all staff follows procedures for J14 Customer Service
* Staff training in product knowledge and store procedures
* Ongoing monitoring of staff attendance, timekeeping, productivity, and presentation
* Conducting staff appraisals and participating in recruitment
* Liaising with senior management regarding site issues
* Preparing and organizing stock takes and liaising with the account department
Requirements
* Relevant managerial experience in a customer-focused brand or successful Assistant Manager seeking their next step
* Enthusiasm, outgoing personality, and strong work ethic
* Full responsibility for the Store, including people development, brand delivery, and financial success
