MEP Project Coordinator
You will work on high-impact projects in a BIM Level 2 environment, coordinating with multiple design disciplines to ensure smooth project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct analysis of M&E design information during the tender phase and communicate design deficiencies to the bidding team.
2. Manage distribution and ensure timely release of M&E design data for construction tasks.
3. Verify that all M&E information for construction aligns with project specifications and has been reviewed by interface designers.
4. Participate in Construction, Design, Management (CDM), and Health & Safety evaluations.
5. Review project drawings and specifications for any inconsistencies.
6. Oversee mechanical, electrical, and associated services and represent these disciplines in site meetings, including progress reporting.
7. Chair technical services meetings with subcontractors and design team members.
8. Liaise with design teams and clients on service installations.
9. Schedule subcontractor work to align with the main project program.
10. Ensure the build progresses according to design and program requirements for service installations.
11. Coordinate the sign-off process for all service installations with the design team.
12. Ensure commissioning of all systems is complete before practical completion.
13. Oversee the completion of operations and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and commissioning reports before practical completion.
14. Conduct snagging and de-snagging, manage compliance with BCAR requirements, and support post-handover liaison.
Requirements:
* A relevant degree in Building Services or a related field (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
* Experience with a main contractor is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and familiarity with BIM Modeling.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills.
* Ideally, a minimum of 7 years' experience in building services coordination in Ireland or the UK.
