Overview This role is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits during deployment and commissioning phases.
A major focus of the position involves working with Ignition, a web-based HMI, SCADA, and MES platform, to deliver a high-quality front-end SCADA solution to clients.
The role requires ongoing communication with clients throughout implementation, as well as post-deployment support for system queries or issues.
Key Responsibilities Presales and design of new solutions and installations Responding to customer and client requests as they arise Liaising with Junior SCADA/Automation Engineers on PLC, HMI, and SCADA software implementation Creating software design specifications and associated documentation Using design tools such as In Touch, Ignition, Broadwin, and 1 CC Flexible Training clients on systems once implemented Ensuring consistency of work across all projects Working to project deadlines Managing all files and licensing associated with projects Interfacing with client IT departments regarding security General housekeeping of all SCADA projects Developing standards and specifications aligned with customer requirements Creating standard libraries and productised solutions to improve efficiency in future project delivery Producing work breakdown structures for your own projects and those of junior engineers What We're Looking For Strong understanding of SCADA system architecture and components Experience with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Siemens Win CC, Wonderware, or similar Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.) Minimum 5 years' experience developing SCADA and PLC solutions Demonstrated experience in software development and solution design with Schneider PLCs or similar Experience using AI technologies Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Database Manager Familiarity with remote access tools (PC Anywhere, Remote Desktop, Team Viewer) Understanding of data science and statistics Ability to work with VB and SQL Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and related industrial networking protocols Awareness of SCADA cybersecurity best practices Experience designing and managing SCADA alarms Benefits: Work From Home
