About the Role
As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will contribute to the development of a novel product from inception through commercialization. This role is focused on delivering complex acute ischemic stroke projects with significant technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
* Develop a thorough understanding of the disease state and translate it into actionable technical specifications.
* Lead and support the management team in achieving performance, time, and cost objectives.
* Generate innovative solutions to address unmet needs in the market.
* Design and develop test models for prototype performance evaluations.
* Construct and test prototypes; analyze test data and interpret results to identify optimal solutions.
* Create detailed component and finished device assembly drawings/specifications.
* Identify and select product materials, assembly methods, and define process parameters.
* Manage key risks throughout the product lifecycle.
* Evaluate physician techniques and develop comprehensive training materials.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in all stages of medical device design and development (including design with SolidWorks, prototyping, and testing).
* Mechanical or biomedical engineering degree or equivalent.
* Specific experience in Medical Devices, cardiovascular or neurovascular implants or instruments including catheters, stents, delivery systems.
* Strong design and technical expertise based on a broad and deep knowledge of fundamental engineering principles.
