The role of a Quality and Governance Professional is pivotal in driving excellence across the nursing home sector.
This position plays a key leadership role in advancing quality, governance, and compliance throughout the organisation.
The Quality and Governance Professional oversees quality assurance processes, implements policies, supports staff development, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
This role reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer or a designated representative.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards by overseeing quality assurance processes.
* Implement policies to support high-quality care services.
* Support staff development through training and mentoring.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and governance.
Required Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse with current registration.
* Qualification in healthcare management, quality improvement, or clinical governance (essential).
* Qualification in auditing or risk management (desirable).
Desired Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards, healthcare regulations, and person-centred care frameworks.
* Proven ability to lead audits, manage risk, and support teams in a regulatory environment.
* Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
Experience:
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a quality, governance, or compliance role within healthcare.
