My client is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a part time basis for an initial 3-month contract. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure accurate financial records and smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including processing of purchase and sales invoices, and performing bank reconciliations.
2. Accurately code and post financial transactions using Xero accounting software.
3. Process supplier payments and perform credit control duties.
4. Complete monthly bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Assist in the preparation and processing of month-end financial accounts.
6. Support the statutory audit process by preparing and supplying necessary documentation.
7. Handle financial queries from members and support general financial administration.
8. Maintain accurate financial records and deliver timely, reliable financial data to support decision-making.
9. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Requirements:
10. Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
11. Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
12. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
13. Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and business needs.
