In this role you will be working with a key client segment for ILIM and Irish Life, ensuring the asset solutions and risk frameworks for our clients are fit for purpose and aligned with their objectives.
You will have the opportunity and responsibility to develop and retain long standing client relationships by being pro-active, professional, a problem solver, delivering superior client service, engagement and solutions.
You will also collaborate with the wider ILIM teams in developing new client relationships and evolving new solutions which can deliver for ILIM in this market.
Team Background
Reporting directly into the Head of Corporate Clients, you will join our domestic Relationship Management Team, that sits within the Distribution Team.
This team has oversight/responsibility for the management of ILIM’s corporate client relationships (DB, DC, others) here in Ireland which encompasses almost €45bn in AuM.
More specific responsibilities will include
• Relationship Management: Act as the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients in relation to the delivery of services from ILIM. You will look to deepen existing client relationships through delivery of best-in-class service, client engagement and responsive client management in addition to ensuring that funds are managed in line with their mandates and in an efficient manner.
• Applying a commercial focus to client relationships: Introduce margin enhancing products to existing and potential new clients and identify opportunities and support the cross selling of other services from ILIM or the Group.
• Market presence and Networking: Develop and maintain strong business relationships with the existing and potential clients, consultants or intermediaries. Proactively contribute to our marketing initiatives – webinars, content development, articles e.g. IAPF.
• Commercial awareness: Maintaining up to date with all market and industry developments which impact our clients. This can be legislative regulator or market driven trends, competitor developments.
• New Products & Services: Provide input into the development of new products and services which can deliver for ILIM in the domestic market in the years ahead.
• New Business: Contribute to the sales agenda and new pipeline development through proactivity with key market participants and collaboration across teams within ILIM. This should lead to new business wins which deliver against our strategic objectives.
What you will need to be successful in the role
The ideal candidate will have:
• Preferably a degree level qualification with either a CFA, MSc in Investment & Treasury, IMC, CIM, SAI or equivalent.
• A number of years’ industry experience in a client facing role within the Financial Services industry, ideally in Investments although not essential
• Strong understanding of investment markets is essential
• Knowledge of CRM tools and techniques e.g. Salesforce
• Demonstrated experience and ability to simplify complex concepts when presenting to audiences of different sizes and financial expertise
• Experience presenting technical information to clients and other stakeholders
• A desire to work in a dynamic and evolving business and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the team to best serve our clients
