Flood and Coastal Risk Management

Assess and manage flood risk in coastal areas, working with support staff to develop and deliver work programmes and measures.
* Maintain an effective programme of maintenance of river courses drained and flood defence schemes constructed under the provisions of the Arterial Drainage Acts.
* Advise on flood risk management and policy.

About You:
">
A qualification at minimum Level 8 (honours bachelor's degree) in Civil Engineering, Geography or Geoscience is required. This can be a similar discipline such as Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Earth and Ocean Science, or Climate Change.
* A minimum of four years relevant post qualification experience in at least two of the following areas: Flood risk assessment and management, Hydrology and hydrological analysis, Hydrometric data collection and processing, River engineering, hydraulics and flood mapping, Coastal processes and analysis, Surveying and remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
