Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and enhance workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying hazards, reducing occupational risks, and ensuring adherence to global and local safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety, environmental, and occupational risks within operations.
Determine and document likelihood of incident occurrence, severity, and residual risk, implementing mitigation strategies.
Lead incident investigations using structured methodologies (e.g. Root Cause Analysis, Ishikawa, 5 Whys).
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, and EPA regulations.
Perform ergonomic assessments using tools such as RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) and REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment).
Conduct audits, inspections, and safety reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and stakeholders.
Support emergency preparedness planning and response activities.
Monitor environmental impact and ensure adherence to sustainability and environmental standards.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to embed safety into processes.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
Proven experience within an EHS, Occupational Safety, or Environmental Health role.
Strong understanding of risk assessment, incident management, and regulatory compliance.
Experience working within regulated or industrial environments (e.g. manufacturing, pharma, engineering, healthcare, etc.).
Preferred Experience
Experience within a MedTech or Medical Device environment (highly desirable).
Exposure to ISO standards (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Understanding of regulated environments aligned to medical device manufacturing standards.
Experience handling multi‑site or cross‑functional safety programs.
Demonstrated ability to reduce incident rates and improve safety KPIs.
