Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Services Team Leader to join our team in a customer-facing role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the laboratory support services, ensuring that all scientific activities are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines, GLS & local agreements.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry or Biology, previous experience in a customer-facing role, and proficiency in Excel and SAP. They will also possess strong leadership skills, technical troubleshooting capabilities, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
----------------------------------- Responsibilities:
* To carry out all scientific support activities in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines, GLS & local agreements
* Proactively deliver the operational laboratory support managing team workload and service levels as required by the research groups
* Preventative maintenance, cleaning & documentation of several laboratory instruments including Pipettes, Multi-channel pipettes verification, Balances verification, pH meters glass washing, Bioreactor disassembling, cleaning and re-assembly, Biological Safety Cabinet Freezer deep cleans and nova system maintenance etc.
* Training and mentoring of new Lab Services Associates
* Determine and organise the training program for Lab Services Associates
* Ensure full cross training is in place to develop the team and to provide cover for all required service tasks
----------------------------------- Requirements:
* Background: Degree in a Chemistry or Biology related subject
* Experience: Previous experience in a customer facing role, previous experience within the pharmaceutical sector is essential
* IT Literate, proficiency in Excel and SAP is preferred
* Previous experience with people management
* Technical troubleshooting capabilities and demonstrable experience handling a variety of high tasks
