Human Resources and Employee Relations Consultant

Our Transformation, HR and Change team has an exciting, client based, opportunity for an experienced HR/ER practitioner.
This opportunity is temporary in nature to provide cover for a period of leave. It is expected that this will be for a duration of between 9 – 12 months.
Purpose of the role
This position will work directly with a specific client to provide both strategic and operational HR support to senior management within the client.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a primary emphasis on employee relations including management of investigations, supporting on third party hearings and supporting union engagement. In addition, the successful candidate will also be tasked with upskilling the HR team, and wider organisation, in these areas including development of appropriate systems, structures and processes to manage these in a consistent manner.
There will also be opportunities to be involved in other functional areas of HR and other strategic projects as required by the client.

About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* At least 5 years' experience including substantial experience of employee relations
* Employee relations experience may include, but not limited to, informal (e.g. mediation, designated contact person) and formal (e.g. workplace investigations) resolution mechanisms, union engagement and supporting organisations at hearings (WRC, Labour Court etc).
* CIPD qualified with ideally a formal HR qualification at primary degree and/or master's level;
* Previous work experience within a public sector organisation or through a consultancy capacity
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organisation
* Excellent project management and organisational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
* A strong performer both as part of a team and on own initiative
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
