We are seeking a Process Technician III on a permanent basis to support sub-assembly and top-assembly manufacturing processes within the Spy Production Unit. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot equipment and process issues, perform and document machine maintenance and calibration procedures, and partner with engineering technicians and engineers to develop methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and troubleshoot process, material, tooling and equipment problems to minimize downtime and improve yields.
* Comply with internal and external regulatory requirements.
* Interpret technical drawings and equipment schematics.
* Perform preventative maintenance and calibration procedures, and author equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
* Proactively reduce non-value-added activities backed by data analysis.
* Identify, design, and implement process equipment, tooling, and fixture changes to improve reliability.
* Revise existing documents, processes, and methods to correct or improve processes/products.
* Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
* Assist in Value Improvement Projects (VIP), PSRM, and continuous improvement initiatives for cost savings.
* Collaborate with engineers to bring new processes into production.
* Work with departmental customers to improve scrap yield.
* Train and provide technical support to product builders and mentor junior technicians.
* Demonstrate ESD test methods and troubleshooting skills.
Education & Experience
* Relevant trade or technical certificate or higher
* 5 years of industry experience
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Self-motivated to seek opportunities to improve process performance
* Good communication with peers on issues and problems
* Good computer skills and systems knowledge
