Job PurposeAs Warehouse Supervisor you will report to and provide direct support to the Warehouse Manager in the day to day running of the operation. You will oversee a team of Warehouse Operatives ensuring all tasks are completed with accuracy and efficiency and maximise warehouse productivity.Key Responsibilities:Duties will include but not limited to the following:Supervise a team of Warehouse Operatives and work "hands on" in a busy warehouseManage the workflow in the warehouse including packing stations, manual picking, processing stations and goods inCoaching all new team members in company standards, job duties and customer serviceEnsuring that operations are compliant with health and safety policiesCo-ordinating labour requirements in-line with workloadEnsuring excellent housekeeping standards are maintainedConstantly looking for areas of improvement in processes of the businessAbility to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivatedFlexibility within the role and able to cover a variety of areas within the WarehouseThe ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and forklift vehiclesAdditionalAssisting in any special assignments/projects as requested ensuring confidentiality at all timesBe able to work overtime and weekends when requiredAdministrationResponsible for accuracy of all paperwork and figure workExperience and SkillsEducation and TrainingPrevious experience as a warehouse supervisor is preferable although not essentialStrong working knowledge of warehouse operations and managementExperience of using warehouse management systems is essentialForklift licence desirable but not essentialWarehouse manual handling preferable (although training available)Work ExperienceProven supervisory experience in a busy warehouse environmentThe ability to plan-ahead and manage your timeExperience in using a Stock management systemUnderstanding of stock takes/PI countsPicking, packing use of labelling systems for despatch (FED-EX, DHL and DPD)Knowledge and SkillsDriven and self-motivatedProactive problem-solving capabilityFlexibility and adaptabilityAble to work under pressure and to deadlines and meet targetsExcellent communication skillsCompetent decision makingExcellent attention to detailExcellent organisation skills with experience of prioritising tasks.Strong level of numeracy / literacyStrong level of IT skills and use of Microsoft suite of packagesJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €15.00 per hourExpected hours: 34 – 40 per weekWork Location: In person
