Support and maintenance are offered on all equipment sold.Due to continued expansion of our Clean Air and Containment business, MSC has an exciting opportunity for aField Service Engineer (Clean Air),ideally based within approximately 30 minutes of Limerick city. This role will support a strong and growing customer base in Limerick and across the western region of Ireland.The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and follow-up service of clean air equipment including biological safety cabinets (BSCs), laminar airflow cabinets (LAFs), isolators, fume hoods and related systems.Equipment is located throughout the island of Ireland, and as a result a willingness to travel is essential. There will also be a requirement, on occasion, for overnight stays.A set number ofweekendsper year must be worked, with premium pay applying.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing on-site service of laboratory equipment repairing / routine preventive maintenance service in Ireland and N IrelandInstallation, maintenance, testing and repairing equipmentTroubleshoot minor software problems, upgrade firmwareProvide training to customersEnsure product and service quality achievementBuild and maintain relationships with our customersPromote and grow the service business of MSCCooperation with MSC Sales Team to identify and progress opportunity for the sale of new equipmentAttributesEssential: Full clean EU driving licenceEssential: NFQ Level 6 Qualification in mechanical engineering / electrical engineering / biomedical engineering / mechatronic engineering / HVAC or similarDesirable: Experience as a field service engineerDesirable: Experience with clean air installation, commissioning and service.Desirable: CTCB-I certificationCurrent passport and willingness to travel abroad for product trainingExcellent IT skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, be self-motivated, and manage own workload
