Shanahan Paints has been supplying painting and decorating products and services to retail, trade and wholesale customers in County Clare since the early 1970's. Shanahan Paints business branch out in 2004 to open a second store in Smithstown, Shannon and also became a prominent member of the Albany Home Décor Group, Ireland's only independent specialist paints group. It comprises a network of 30 stores nationwide and provides a strong base for quality independent operators such as Shanahan's to thrive and offer customers a wider choice of products and at better value. At Albany Shanahan Paints, we are dedicated to growing our name as the preferred paint and decorating provider in Clare and the Mid-West region.
This role will include a variety of duties relating to customer service, sales, incoming and outgoing deliveries, checking and managing stock, merchandising and other general duties.
This position requires Saturday work.
Full training provided.
Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of customer service, identify customer needs in order to increase sales, provide assistance and product knowledge to improve service levels and sales targets.
· Advise and assist customers with their colour choices
· Advise and assist customers on the correct product and equipment for their job
· Provide excellent product and technical advice
· Visual merchandising, instore and window displays
· Merchandise products and sundries
· General housekeeping to include cleaning and the upkeep and filling of the shelves on the showroom floor, on a daily basis.
· Answer customer queries, giving accurate product information and where possible solve problems raised to maintain a high level of customer service whilst increasing sales.
· Undertake stock take duties
· Ensure store operating standards achieve the level of excellence required.
· Undertake any other duties as requested by your Store Operations Manager.
Skills Profile:
Ability to work in a small team environment where the job has to be completed regardless of roles.
· Team working is an essential part of the job.
· Required to be flexible in attitude towards working hours and duties.
· Customer focussed and direct sales experience.
· Good understanding of EPOS and IT systems.
· Good communication skills.
· Experience of customer facing environment or equivalent
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service at all times
· Strong people skills, with an ability to multi-task and prioritise
· Willingness to learn about products and colour
· Able to use own initiative
