Senior Physiotherapist (0.5 WTE Practice Education Tutor + 0.5 WTE Elective Orthopaedics)
This is a full-time permanent position at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join our team in elective orthopaedics, with a strong focus on education and practice development.
Key Responsibilities
* To provide high-quality patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
* To lead and participate in educational activities, including the facilitation of education and presentation of feedback
* To provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff members
* To contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to physiotherapy practice
* To maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations
Requirements
* A recognised qualification in physiotherapy and registration with CORU
* A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 12 months specifically in elective orthopaedic services
* Experience as a practice educator and/or clinical tutor for physiotherapy students in an acute hospital setting
* Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication abilities, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to problem-solve, think critically, and formulate solutions to issues emerging in practice
Desirable Qualifications
* Relevant postgraduate education or training
