Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Assistant to join our team in Waterford. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in food service and preparation, with the ability to operate a till accurately and efficiently. They must also be able to commute to Waterford for shifts starting as early as 7am, and possess high hygiene standards.
In this role, you will assist the kitchen in busiest departments as needed, ensuring high-quality food while adhering to food safety standards. You will also be responsible for operating the till accurately, washing dishes, utensils, and cleaning equipment using professional equipment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Assist the kitchen staff with tasks such as portioning prepared foods
* Operate cash registers efficiently
* Maintain cleanliness of cooking areas at all times including storing chemicals safely when not being used
