Fire Safety Professional
Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Fire Safety Professional to join our team. This critical role requires an individual with expertise in fire safety engineering, legislation, and construction technology.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design and monitoring of building and site development projects from a fire safety perspective.
* Work on diverse projects across various sectors including transportation, leisure, education, commerce, healthcare, industry, storage, and residential for both public and private clients.
* Develop comprehensive fire safety strategies from inception through to completion for a range of project types, meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
* Stay up-to-date with fire safety design, legislation, and construction technology in Ireland.
* Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Possess the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Demonstrate exceptional presentation and client-facing skills.
* Create technical reports and review drawings prepared by others.
* Carry out fire risk assessments and surveys of existing buildings.
* Undertake site inspections as required under BC(A)R 2014.
* Evaluate contractor and design team proposals and material submissions.
* Mentor junior engineers and other team members.
* Build relationships with colleagues and clients.
Requirements:
* Post-graduate experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
* Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (level 8) in Fire Safety Engineering (or equivalent).
* A master's degree in Fire Safety Engineering is preferred.
* A valid driving license and personal vehicle.
