We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-driven Architectural Technologist to become an integral part of our progressive team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong technical background, a keen eye for design, and proven experience in converting conceptual ideas into precise construction documentation.
Main Responsibilities
* Produce comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
* Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and external consultants to develop coordinated design solutions.
* Ensure all designs and documents meet relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
* Support early-stage design efforts, including site analysis, feasibility studies, and planning submissions.
* Conduct regular site visits, liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams throughout the construction phase.
* Efficiently address and resolve technical and design challenges as they arise.
* Maintain clear and accurate project records and assist with general project coordination and administration.
Key Requirements
* A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a closely related discipline.
* At least 3 years of professional experience in an architectural or design practice.
* Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (Microsoft Office skills also essential).
* Solid knowledge of current construction methods, building regulations, and technical standards.
* Exceptional skills in technical drawing, detailing, and documentation.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
* Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
* Familiarity with BIM processes and related software.
* Understanding of sustainable design principles and relevant environmental certifications.
* Experience working on projects through all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion.
* Knowledge of local planning policies, procedures, and submission requirements.
