What You’ll Do
Provide assistance to residents with personal care, meal prep and feeding, hygiene and housekeeping.
Support the nursing team in implementing care plans and risk assessments.
Safeguard residents and report any concerns.
Assist in the physical movement of residents with reduced mobility using equipment such as hoists, wheelchairs.
Prioritise residents’ wishes and needs to ensure the best quality care.
Participate in handovers and ensure smooth transition of care between staff.
Perform duties in line with in-house health and safety regulations and HIQA policies.
Act as an advocate for residents, providing support and information.
Uphold resident confidentiality at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Successful applicant will be subject to Garda vetting.
Fetac level 5 in care of the older person, will consider those currently studying.
Previous experience with care of the elderly an advantage.
Manual and people handling essential, training can be provided to the right candidate.
Flexibility required across all 7 days of the week with a roster that’s subject to change weekly.
