Job: Security Architect
location: Dublin (office x2 days a week)
Rate: 90-100k or 600 per day
Type: contract or perm
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect for a strategic and tactical role, requiring a deep dive into our customer’s current systems, applications, and security frameworks, with a focus on strengthening vulnerabilities and unifying security across the organisation.
This senior-level role requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to guide teams in embedding security best practices into their systems and applications.
Please note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to work from our customer's Dublin office twice to three times per week.
Key responsibilities & duties include:
1. Conduct comprehensive security assessments of applications, systems, and infrastructure.
2. Identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate security risks.
3. Define and implement a unified cybersecurity framework aligned with industry best practices.
4. Strengthen the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by embedding secure development principles and ensuring robust security measures.
5. Develop a security roadmap outlining tactical improvements and strategic initiatives.
6. Implement secure development frameworks, prioritising application security across engineering processes.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to align security initiatives with business goals.
8. Establish best practices for secure coding, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
9. Provide guidance on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) requirements.
Ideal Skills Set:
* Proven experience in cybersecurity architecture in complex enterprise environments.
* Experience in secure system design, security architectures, and security patterns.
* Background in application security, secure development, and vulnerability assessment.
* Experience designing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and frameworks.
* Expertise in secure SDLC and coding practices.
* Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
* Ability to operate strategically and tactically, assessing current security landscapes and building roadmaps.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, influencing senior leadership and engineering teams.
* Expertise in vulnerability analysis and remediation across cloud and on-prem environments.
* Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, or SABSA are highly desirable.
