Job description
Category CE License holder and up to date CPC required to operate a Artic truck for scrap metal collections. Must be able to operate a truck mounted crane located behind the cab for loading and unloading scrap. Truck departs our premises in Dublin Hill every morning for collections primarily in Munster but occasionally elsewhere in Ireland.
Drivers must communicate both with our transport manager and each customer during collections to ensure the material is collected in a safe and efficient manner. Drivers are responsible for filling out all relevant paperwork related to collections, inspecting the truck daily, general upkeep of the vehicle and promptly reporting any mechanical faults that require attention.
Experience operating Artic trucks and truck mounted cranes is essential.
Safe Pass and Manual Handling Passes are preferred, but training can be provided if required.
Mon - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (hours may vary slightly each day), with compensated overtime. Possibility to work Saturdays occasionally.
Sundays and bank holidays off. Paid holidays and sick days. Subsistence provided to all drivers.
