Overview
Mason Technology is a wholly owned Irish company established in 1780, the principal activities are the distribution and supply of laboratory and analytical instruments.
The Role
Mason Technology is seeking to recruit a Field Service Engineer based in Munster on a full-time permanent contract with a requirement to travel countrywide when necessary.
This role will involve working in the service department as part of our Weighing Technical Support Team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform installations, preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns on Mettler Toledo weighing equipment.
Work in pharmaceutical environments while utilising the force calibration unit for tank and vessel weighing.
Work on third party weighing equipment for calibration and breakdowns.
Liaise with customers on and off site via phone, email or Microsoft Teams to provide solutions to issues of various types of weighing equipment.
Maintain communication with the WTS Manager and Service Coordinator to insure the efficient completion and scheduling of outstanding calls.
Ensure all documentation of works is completed in a timely manner to the highest standard.
Maintain accurate service records and certifications in Mason Technology service system and complete in a timely manner.
Basic troubleshooting of weighing equipment and escalation to the relevant team if required.
Maintain designated Mason Technology testing equipment and report any defects to our Quality Department.
Provide user training and assist with training of other team members when required.
Follow environmental health & safety regulatory requirements and maintain Mason Technology's standards in quality and customer service.
Be fully aware of and strictly adhere to health & safety, fire, and security procedures.
Attend overseas training when required
Participate in training and coaching of team members as required.
Undertake any other business or ad-hoc duties relevant to the post, as and when required.
Travel to customer sites countrywide and stay overnight in hotel accommodation when required.
Focus on customer requirements for urgent breakdown response when required.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required
A recognised course completed in electrical/instrumentation/mechanical engineering.
Strong background in installation, commissioning, and servicing of weighing equipment is a major advantage.
Previous experience in a similar technical role is essential.
Experience of working within quality systems such as ISO, INAB etc
Ability to fault find and repair Industrial weighing equipment.
A good knowledge of related industry products and tools.
Full clean driving licence is essential.
