Retail Shop Manager – Deck The Halls Killarney
Immediate start | Seasonal position (September – February)
Deck The Halls Killarney is now recruiting an experienced Retail Shop Manager for this season's pop-up Christmas shop.
We're looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, maintain beautiful displays, and help create a truly magical shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day retail operations, including opening/closing and staff supervision.
* Lead a small team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high presentation standards.
* Oversee merchandising and seasonal displays to ensure a visually stunning store.
* Operate POS systems (Hike POS / Shopify) and manage daily sales reporting.
* Handle stock control, restocking, deliveries, and inventory counts.
* Liaise with suppliers and warehouse teams for timely product replenishment.
* Support pricing, tagging, and store layout changes.
* Resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally.
* Ensure all health, safety, and visual standards are maintained.
* Report directly to the business owner on sales, staffing, and store performance.
Skills & Experience
* Previous retail management or assistant management experience is essential (homeware, giftware, or décor preferred).
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Confident with point-of-sale and stock management systems.
* A creative eye for display and visual merchandising.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, seasonal retail environment.
* Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently when required.
* Flexible for weekend and extended hours during peak season.
