Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in County Louth and is presently recruiting a Draughtsperson with strong SolidWorks skills to their Design team. You will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings for high‑quality engineered products to customers across a range of industries and will support manufacturing, production, and project delivery departments within the business. This is a permanent, full‑time position.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorksPrepare manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs (Bills of Materials)Support the design and development of new and existing productsWork closely with engineers, production teams, and project managers to ensure designs are practical and manufacturableRevise and update drawings in line with design changes and client requirementsEnsure all drawings and documentation are completed accurately and in line with company standardsAssist with prototype development and product improvement initiativesMaintain drawing records and engineering documentationRequirements1+ years’ experience as a Draughtsperson, CAD Technician, or similar design role within a manufacturing environmentProficiency in SolidWorks is essentialExperience with sheet metal, fabrication, or mechanical assemblies, producing detailed fabrication/manufacturing drawingsGood understanding of manufacturing processes and materialsAbility to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawingsQualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Engineering Technology, or related discipline is essential.Salary is open to negotiation, based on experience.
