As a PHD Graduate Data Scientist, you will join the Bimeda IT Global Data & Analytics team, contributing to impactful, data-driven and AI-driven initiatives across the business.
This 24-month program is designed to accelerate your development by giving you hands‑on experience with real‑world data and artificial intelligence challenges, exposure to global stakeholders, and the opportunity to deliver meaningful insights and intelligent solutions that support innovation and operational excellence.
Role Title: PHD Graduate - Data Scientist
Reporting to: Head of Data Analytics
Duration of Post: Fixed Term – 24 Months

Location: 21 Spruce Avenue, Stillorgan Industrial Park
Key Role Specific Requirements
Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Develop and deploy predictive models, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of AI initiatives across the global Bimeda organisation (e.g., automation, advanced analytics, generative AI use cases)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science and AI solutions
Support the development of data pipelines, AI models, dashboards, and reporting tools
Assist in evaluating and implementing emerging AI technologies and best practices
Contribute to data governance, model governance, and responsible AI practices
Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Continuously explore new tools, techniques, and methodologies in data science and artificial intelligence

About You
PHD graduate with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar
Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI)
Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts (e.g., NLP, predictive modelling)
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn
Exposure to AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Experience with large datasets and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
Knowledge of SQL and database management
Familiarity with generative AI tools or concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering)
Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git)
Interest in the pharmaceutical or animal health industry
