Clerical Officer Grade IV - 3 Month Contract Location: West Cork Contract: 3 months initially, with a strong possibility of extension Start Date: Early February 2026 Rate: €19.50 per hour We are currently seeking a Clerical Officer Grade IV to join a very busy healthcare team based in West Cork.
This is a full-time role offering an excellent opportunity for extension for the right candidate.
Duties of the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of clerical and administrative duties, including: Reception duties, including answering phones and responding to emails Checking in visitors and managing front-desk queries Typing clinic letters Typing doctors' consultation notes and completing associated documentation Dictating some consultation notes Preparing referral letters Providing cover for the switchboard when required, including transferring calls to relevant departments Experience Required We are looking for someone who: Has strong typing skills Is proficient in Microsoft Excel Has previous experience as a Medical Secretary or in a clerical/administrative role Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy environment Is proactive, flexible, and willing to get stuck in as part of a team
