Hey, do you love a busy Kitchen ? If so we are looking for you, an experienced junior chef/cook for our busy hostel Kitchen. In this role you will be supporting the Head Chef in the day to day running of the Kitchen from HACCP compliance, kitchen cleanliness, wash-up, food ordering stock taking, meal prep, menu design. Accountabilities –
* Food Preparation, cooking and presenting dishes to company and food safety standards
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation across all levels all kitchen stations.
* Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and ensuring ingredients are correctly labelled and stored
* Follow all food hygiene, health and safety and allergen control procedures. Haccp 2 essential.
* Show commitment to learning and development by taking direction and feedback form the Head Chef.
Responsibilities
* Prepare ingredients and basic dishes according to recipes and specifications.
* Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
* Assist in the preparation of group meals, a la carte bar menu and Breakfast buffet
* Ensure all equipment is clean and maintained to a high standard
* Cleaning down at the end of service and general kitchen duties
* Support in maintaining kitchen records, including HACCP logs on Kitchtech and temperature checks.
* Bring energy, positivity and a culinary vibe to every shift
