The Housekeeping Assistant will:· While performing housekeeping duties, ensure that resident's privacy and dignity are maintained.· Identify areas for cleaning within Hamilton Park Care Facility.· Clean and service all areas of Hamilton Park Care Facility including rooms, hallways, corridors, floors, walls, sluices, bathrooms, bedrooms WCs, living spaces, offices, to the highest levels.· Check that hand gels and soaps are full daily.· Carry out deep cleans of resident bedrooms as per schedules.· Comply with cleaning checklists provided, and fill out forms and checklists accurately.· Wash wall areas as appropriate.· Replenish hand gels and liquid soaps, and disposables such as aprons, toilet rolls, bin liners, soap etc.· Bring used cleaning items to laundry for washing.· Emptying of bins and ashtrays, window blind cleaning, damp dusting, cleaning of toilet areas, vacuuming and transporting other rubbish and waste to disposal areas· Comply with all Hamilton Park policies and procedures relevant to the job role including those that incorporate health and safety, HACCP, infection control and waste disposal.· Participate and direct in the cleaning of the kitchenettes and equipment as required.· Undertake other work as necessary in times of need and in support of Health Care Assistants and/or Nursing staff· Dispose of waste in accordance with waste control guidelines· Follow best practice procedures associated with cleaning and control of infection· Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and then cleaned and stored away after use· Ensure chemicals are used correctly and stored appropriately· Advise the Hygiene Supervisor on ordering and storage of all cleaning and laundry products, ensuring adequate supplies at all times· Complete appropriate records as required· Collect residents clothes and Hamilton Park Care Facility linen from identified central points and bring to laundry room· Load and unload items into washing machines and dryers correctly· Take charge of the laundry ensuring adequate stock of clean and pressed linen is available at all times. Keep linen presses neat and tidy· Attend training courses both in-house and at other locations to meet and enhance the service being provided by HamiltonPark Care FacilityJob Type: Full-timePay: From €13.50 per hourWork authorisation:Ireland (preferred)Location:Blackhall, Balbriggan, CO.
