Associate - Asset Management & Investment Funds
We are currently seeking an Associate to join the Investment Funds practice. Walkers is recruiting an enthusiastic, team-oriented and motivated lawyer to join our Asset Management and Investment Funds team in Dublin. Our practice is a recognised leader in its field and acts for many of the leading asset management firms globally. Our team is frequently involved in cutting edge cross-border fund-related transactions, often involving colleagues across our 10 global offices.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic, flexible, experienced and growing team of leading lawyers. You will be given the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters representing our global and Irish-based clients.
Responsibilities
Assist with the provision of advisory and structuring services for Irish domiciled investment funds.
Provide ongoing advice to Irish funds authorised as UCITS, RIAIFs, ELTIFs and QIAIFs; and to management companies authorised as UCITS ManCos, AIFMs, Super ManCos and Mega ManCos (those with MiFID top-ups); and to asset managers, fund promoters, fund service providers including investment managers and advisers.
Draft and review documentation relevant to investment funds and their managers; negotiate agreements with service providers.
Manage assigned matters and liaise with team members and colleagues within the Irish office and globally as needed.
Create and maintain relationships with clients and industry contacts.
Assist with legal and regulatory development project management.
Assist with the preparation of client advisories and updates and build your industry profile through publication.

Skills & Experience
We are open to hearing from those with prior experience in asset management and investment funds. The role is suitable for candidates currently practising in Ireland with PQE 3–5 years (including those interested in a move from in-house into a law firm) or those returning or relocating to Ireland. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
