Do you want to learn more?A snapshot of your key responsibilities:Stable and Secure Infrastructure OperationsMaintain the availability, integrity, and performance of Windows Server environments (on-premises and hybrid Azure environments).Ensure systems are patched, monitored, and compliant with internal IT security and administration policies.Active Directory and Identity Services AdministrationMaintain and manage AD structures, Group Policies, user accounts, and access controls in line with best practices.Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 SupportManage user mailboxes, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and mail flow within Exchange Online.Monitor and resolve issues relating to email delivery, retention policies, and anti-spam configurations.Azure Services SupportAdminister Azure virtual machines, identity and access management (IAM), networking, and resource governance.SSL Certificate and Security ManagementMaintain an inventory of SSL certificates, ensuring timely renewal and secure configuration.Implement server-level and cloud-based cybersecurity controls, including anti-malware, secure configurations, and vulnerability mitigation.Virtualisation Platform ManagementSupport, configure, and optimise VMware vSphere or Hyper-V environments, including resource allocation and monitoring.Desktop Image Deployment and Device SetupBuild, deploy, and maintain standard desktop/laptop images using tools such as ManageEngine, or Intune Autopilot.User Support via Internal Service DeskRespond to escalated service desk incidents and service requests, providing high-quality technical support across infrastructure, devices, and Microsoft 365 services.Backup and Disaster Recovery OversightEnsure systems are backed up according to policy and that recovery procedures are tested and documented.Documentation and ReportingMaintain clear and accurate system configuration records, operational procedures, and change logs.Provide regular status updates and reports to the IT Manager or designated project lead.Support for Infrastructure Projects and UpgradesContribute technical expertise to infrastructure modernisation and digital transformation initiatives as required.Requirements:4-6 years' professional experience in infrastructure and systems administration, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure cloud technologies in medium to large-scale enterprise environments.3rd level Qualification (preferably IT related).Full clean driving license required.C2 proficiency required in English.Strong technical expertise in:Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure,Exchange Online, Entra IDSSL certificate management, Virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V), and cloud backup solutionsCybersecurity best practices, desktop image deployment, and network/firewall fundamentalsProven ability to:Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issuesCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersProvide structured user/vendor support via an internal service deskMaintain clear documentation and apply strong attention to detailDesirable knowledge includes PowerShell scripting, ITIL processes, and experience in public sector or regulated environments.Opportunity type:Contract (Initial 12 months), Onsite in DublinStart date:ASAP
