The Project Manager New Luas Projects will play a key role in the delivery of light rail projects, supporting sustainable economic growth in Ireland and enabling the National Strategic Outcomes and priorities of the National Development Plan.
Role and Responsibilities
* Coordination and Management: Ensure effective co-ordination of activities including contract management, risk management, and design coordination within a large multi-disciplinary team.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Manage major stakeholders, ensuring their feedback is taken into consideration.
* Reporting and Documentation: Set up and maintain appropriate document and drawing control procedures for the project.
* Risk Management and Assurance: Promote a proactive safety and sustainability culture, identify and drive the successful mitigation of project risks.
* Technical and Design Support: Develop and appraise options for route alignments and local alternatives.
* Project Planning and Delivery: Manage the preparation of Feasibility Studies, Options Selection Studies, Business Cases, Preliminary Design, and Railway Order design.
* Tender Documentation, Evaluation, and Procurement: Develop tender documentation for construction contracts, support the Head of Light Railway Dublin Metropolitan Area / Head of Light Railway GDA & Regional Cities in coordinating the tender evaluation process.
Essential Requirements
* Degree or third level professional qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland, or professionally registered at an equivalent level.
* Minimum of seven years post graduate experience in a civil engineering design environment.
