Network Change Coordinator Job Description
This role is responsible for overseeing network changes derived from projects, faults, or incidents. The job involves working with the Operations team to coordinate these changes and ensuring they are implemented efficiently with minimal risk.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical network environment and a good understanding of network principles. They should be able to demonstrate confidence in assessing the impact of proposed changes and challenging people on upcoming environmental changes.
A strong background in project management, ITIL principles, and certification in MSP, PRINCE, or PMP would be beneficial. The ability to work in a demanding environment and handle multiple competing priorities is essential. Teamwork and collaboration skills are also important for this role.
Responsibilities:
* Ownership of the technical change queue to ensure efficient implementation of network changes
* Assess conflicts to determine the best time to commit changes on the production network
* Collaboration with the Operations Tech Lead to map Operations Engineers with the appropriate skill-level for network changes
* Scheduling and prioritization of network Change Requests according to business objectives
* Daily administration of the Operations Change Request Booking Tool
* Chairing weekly Change Planning Meetings and weekly change prioritization meetings
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Change manager experience in a technical network environment
* Good understanding of network principles
* ITIL qualification and/or 4 years of proven experience of ITIL principles and methodology
* Project Management certification (MSP, PRINCE, PMP)
