Supervisor - Day Services Location: Co Louth.
Saint John of God Northeast Services are recruiting for a Supervisor to lead, support and further develop person-centred opportunities and community based services for adults with an intellectual disability who attend our Day Services.
Successful applicants will have: Desirable: A 3 rd level degree in; Social Care / Allied Health / Management / Teaching or equivalent.
Experience of working with adults with disabilities or other similar services in the areas of social and community development, education and employment, training and recreational programmes.
Essential: A 3 rd level qualification minimum degree level.
Experience of managing a team of staff in a disability or similar service.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, reporting and organisational skills.
Effective team management and leadership skills.
Change management skills.
A strong commitment to person-centred planning using a human rights based approach.
A good understanding of outcomes-based services and supports.
Knowledge, understanding and a commitment to the implementation of national policy and best practice in the area of disability services, most importantly HSE National Policy "New Directions Services and Supports for Adults with Disabilities".
Proven ability to demonstrate creativity and initiative when identifying opportunities for meaningful community involvement, interaction and participation including education and employment.
An understanding of the importance of natural support networks and building social capital.
A clean driving licence.
