Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Off-Licence operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provides customers with excellent quality products and services.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
2 years' experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable.
Completion of WSET Level 2 or an alternative wine course is desirable.
A good knowledge of wine, craft beer, and premium spirits.
Creative and engaging with customers, able to prioritize their needs.
Strong attention to detail, organized, and flexible.
Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties:
Actively embody SuperValu brand values: Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative, and Imaginative.
Drive sales through KPI reports, financial reports, brand initiatives, customer initiatives, and employee knowledge.
Adhere to weekly stocktaking procedures, ensuring accuracy and taking necessary actions in the Off-Licence.
Ensure purchasing of stock follows procedures, control stock rotation, and maintain high quality to maximize turnover.
Merchandise and present the department to the highest standard, following store planograms and guidelines.
Monitor and control department overheads (e.g., packaging, cleaning equipment).
Enhance product knowledge by gathering information from various sources, sharing ideas, and building on existing procedures with employees and management.
Ensure all staff reporting to you are competent in their duties and receive appropriate training.
