Associate R&D Engineer
We are seeking an Associate R&D Engineer to work with our Galway-based medical device manufacturing client. This is an 18-month contract position.
About the Role
* Develop innovative device concepts within a project team to address product performance criteria.
* Design, build, and test prototypes, analyze test data, and interpret results to identify optimal solutions to technical challenges.
* Create detailed component and finished device assembly drawings/specifications using SolidWorks software.
* Collaborate with the project team to deliver key objectives, meeting performance, time, and cost targets.
* Leverage external vendors and resources to achieve project goals.
* Write procedures, protocols, specifications, and reports.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Approximately 12 months of experience in a medical device design or manufacturing environment.
* Experience with SolidWorks, prototyping, and testing.
* Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles.
