They are responsible for tracking progress, modeling changes, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements in relation to time and change management. This role supports project teams by offering clarity on performance and critical deadlines and contributes directly to effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain project programs (Tender, PCSA, Contract, Execution, Design, Commissioning) using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).Regularly attend internal weekly project meetings to gather updates and align the program with actual progress.Collect accurate progress data weekly, including verified start and finish dates.Record and model delays and variations within the program, updating durations and logic as required.Identify and escalate project risks in a timely manner.Attend client-facing program meetings and planning workshops as necessary.Liaise with subcontractors to integrate their timelines and progress into the overall project program.Participate in internal planning workshops and departmental training initiatives.Conduct regular site visits (minimum of once every four weeks) to verify progress and maintain program accuracy.Provide regular project status reports to Lead Planners and the Planning Manager.Attend weekly planning department meetings.Contribute to planning department initiatives and support the training and development of graduate planners.Ensure accurate documentation and maintain clear file management systems.Produce regular progress and performance reports, including:S-Curves4-week LookaheadsPlanned vs ActualSpent vs EarnedCost Performance Index (CPI)Schedule Performance Index (SPI)Any additional reports as requiredAdhere to all Planning Department standards, procedures, and best practices.Key Requirements:Proven experience using Primavera P6 with a commitment to continuous improvement.Experience with Microsoft Project and willingness to further develop skills.Data center background and experience will be seen as an advantage.Strong understanding of project planning principles, particularly critical path analysis and schedule logic.Thorough knowledge of assigned project(s), including scope, construction methodology, and risks.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.Highly organized with attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.H&MV Engineering is an Equal Opportunity EmployerWe value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.Ready to energise your career?Join our inclusive team and help build a brighter, more sustainable future—one project at a time.
